Osmosis of water

Water is a clear liquid with no taste or flavor. Water is needed by all living organisms on earth.

Now, there is something called the process of osmosis. Osmosis is the movement of Water molecules from the area of high concentration to an area of low concentration through a partially (semi) permeable membrane.

Osmosis process is very important because this process facilitates the movement of water molecules in and out of the cells, water which is needed into living cells for many biological processes. Osmosis help plants absorb water from the soil to replace water lost preventing plants from wilting. Osmosis is a passive process, no energy is required.
